WHEN A CITY BOY FELL FOR A COUNTRY GIRL
Bear Foot Lodge began with the union of the owners, The Welch's. Born and raised in Metro-Detroit, this City Boy was completely unfamiliar with slowing the pace to enjoy life. That all changed once I met my beautiful Country Girl! Being from Hillman, she was well versed in all the beauty and adventures that The Great Up North has to offer. Through the years she eagerly exposed me to all of these adventures and our worlds collided resulting in one vision.
THE MISSION
Bringing those whom we love most (our family, our dogs and friends) all together to laugh and share adventures Up North has become a central part of our happiness. We here at Bear Foot Lodge would like to provide that same opportunity to other families and friends wanting to take a break from the day-to-day routine. Our waterfront cabins provide our guest(s) with all the comforts of home and more. Our Mission is to provide our guest(s) the opportunity to, not only cherish all that the Great Up North has to offer, but also the opportunity to create lasting memories with those they cherish.
